About
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist practicing in the Chicagoland area. I graduated with highest honors from Indiana University with degrees in Psychology, Sociology, and Spanish. I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Kentucky, and completed my pre-doctoral internship at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, where I trained in inpatient, crisis intervention, adolescent health, and pain management settings. Upon completion of my doctoral work, I trained as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Chicago in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience. I have now been working in private practice for nearly ten years.
I enjoy working with adults from diverse backgrounds. I utilize empirically validated practices to maximize treatment efficacy while providing a warm, supportive, and collaborative environment to facilitate change and help my clients meet their goals.
In addition to my clinical experience, I also have a strong research background. It is crucial to me to stay up-to-date in the newest treatment developments in order to provide you with the best care. I have published dozens of peer-reviewed scientific articles on topics including impulsivity, substance use, and stress (publications can be found under my maiden name, Miller) and have presented my research internationally. I am an active member of several professional organizations including the Anxiety and Depression Association of America and the American Psychological Association.
